Yes, there is a train from Singapore to Bangkok before (Malaysia/ Singapore joint service) but I do not know weather i the service still exist. U could find out from Malaysia or Singapore Tourism Board.
Well unless something has happened between November and now there should still be a train that goes from Singapore to KL. From KL to Penang/Butterworth, from there to Hat Yai in Thailand. From there to Bangkok. I did the route in reverse in November, ending up in Singapore.

From Singapore to Butterworth figure on around 12 hours. Then 2 or 3 hours to Hat Yai. From Hat Yai to Bangkok figure on at least 14 hours. Bring a jacket because the train is cold! Food available for sale cheap on the Malaysia run. On the Thai run food is free plus a blanket too!
When traveling during night hours it is best to have a sleeper if you can afford it. Reserve a sleeper car ahead of time.
In Singapore you can go to the train station for info and prices. There is a MRT stop that brings you close to the train station, perhaps a 15 minute walk. You can also ask a travel agency for information. You don’t have to commit to their prices – just get the info!
Good luck.
